We sell well designed solar PV DC Pumps which can be used for small scale water supply. They can connect directly to a solar panel. It is also possible to connect them to a solar power system made up of solar panels, battery and charge controller so as to get a steady 12/24VDC during operation.

The Value Added Tax Act, 2013 did not include specialised solar equipment (under which these pumps fall) on the list of VAT exempt items. This was changed by the Value Added Tax (Amendment) Act, No. 7 of 2014 (effective May 29th, 2014) which returned these items to the VAT exempt list as a new item 45.
